The Draw — the fee

Each trade leaves 2% behind. That fee is the Draw, and it never leaves the market’s own machinery.

Buys and sells pay the same rate into the same pool.

The Shallows — the waiting room

Where the Draw gathers between settlements: the balance the hook holds.

It grows only from trades and shrinks only into buybacks.

An Ebb — the buyback

One settlement. When a window closes on net outflow, the gathered Draw buys EBBL back from the market.

Selling funds the buying that answers it.

The Silt — the burn

Where the bought units end: removed from the supply at address zero, recorded by an event.

Permanent. Nothing is reissued, and the count is there to verify.

The Draw

Each trade leaves behind 2%. The Draw is not sent anywhere; it remains in the market’s own machinery.

Why it matters: both directions of trade feed one pool of retiring power.

The reading

The hook measures one number per window: buy volume minus sell volume across the single market.

Why it matters: with one venue and one reading, there is no oracle to game and no second market to hide flow in.

An Ebb

When a window closes on net outflow, the Draw that gathered in the Shallows buys EBBL back from the market.

Why it matters: outflow is answered with buying the market paid for itself.

The Silt

The bought units settle in the Silt and stay. Nothing is minted in any window, in any conditions.

Why it matters: no action of the contract can ever dilute a holder.

Holding through a sell-off Exits fund their own answer: a sell-off is the very event that makes the remaining supply smaller.

Does holding EBBL ask anything of me?

No. EBBL is an ordinary token on Ethereum and sits in any Ethereum wallet. Every rule runs inside the market itself; holding asks nothing of you.

Who could ever change the Draw?

No one. The 2% is fixed in the contract’s code with no setter; what a trade pays on day one is what it pays forever.

Can an Ebb be skipped or mistimed?

The window rule is fixed and the hook reads each window as it closes. A window with no net outflow simply settles nothing: the Draw keeps gathering in the Shallows and waits.

Where does retired EBBL end up?

Out of the supply, for good. At settlement the bought units are removed at address zero, and the event carries the amount and the supply after. The supply number only ever falls, and it is there for anyone to verify.

Could the deployer ever move my balance or pause the market?

No. No function can move your balance, and nothing can pause the market. Deployment is the last act the deployer takes.

What happens when buys outweigh sells?

The Draw gathers in the Shallows and nothing else happens. Nothing is issued against inflow; inflow changes nothing about the supply.

Where does the supply number come from?
