A market that answers its own outflow.
The ebb-reading token. One signal, honestly read; a supply that never rises.
Outflow has no answer.
Buying arrives in weather and selling arrives in weather. In a plain market, the ebb is simply suffered.
Value leaves
Selling takes value out of the market, and nothing in the design answers it. The only plan for outflow is to hope for inflow.
Issuance dilutes
The usual answer is to mint against inflow — growth the holder pays for in dilution. The supply rises; each share of it buys less.
The market answers itself.
Ebbline keeps a part of every trade and spends it on buying its own token back — exactly when outflow is measured.
The Draw
2% of each trade, taken by the hook on the market itself. Never paid out to anyone.
The reading
One signal per window: buys minus sells across the single market. No oracle.
An Ebb
On net outflow, the gathered Draw buys EBBL back from the market.
The Silt
The bought units leave the supply for good. Retirement is permanent.
A market that reads its own tide can answer its own outflow.
Four things to understand.
The Draw
What each trade leaves behind — 2%, taken by the hook. It cannot be raised, lowered, redirected, or paid out.
The Shallows
Where the Draw waits — the balance the hook holds. It grows only from trades and shrinks only into buybacks.
An Ebb
One settlement. On net outflow the Shallows buy EBBL from the market at the market’s own price.
The Silt
Where the bought units settle — removed from the supply at address zero in the same transaction, recorded by an event.
One pool, one signal.
EBBL trades in a single Uniswap v4 pool on Ethereum, quoted in ETH. One market is what makes the reading honest — the signal cannot be gamed by a second venue.
Venue
Uniswap v4, with the hook on the pool. Every swap passes the mechanism.
Chain
Ethereum mainnet. The token is a plain ERC-20 any wallet already holds.
Quote
ETH. Every trade is measured in the same unit the reading uses.
A window becomes an Ebb.
1 · Trade
Each trade leaves behind 2%. The Draw stays in the market’s own machinery.
2 · Read
The hook tallies the window: buy volume on one side, sell volume on the other.
3 · Settle
On net outflow, the gathered Draw buys EBBL back from the market.
4 · Retire
The bought units settle in the Silt. Nothing is minted in any window.
What a holder can count on.
Through a sell-off
When others exit, the Draw they paid buys EBBL back. Outflow funds its own answer.
Through quiet water
Inflow windows settle nothing and issue nothing. A holder’s share is never diluted.
Checking, not trusting
Every retirement is recorded on-chain with the supply after it. Retirement is verified, not believed.
Three numbers.
The ebb-reading token.
One signal, honestly read; a supply that never rises.
